Business; All about idea
To cut one pocket to make my pocket heavier- is somehow a funny definition of BUSINESS that we sometimes narrate. But in real world this pocket often means a lot more than its original meaning. After going through my first lines you must have been thinking that I must be an anti-business person and what I am really doing here-in a business magazine? To those people, it will be a big NO! I am going to be a business Grad!!! How can I be an anti- business minded people!
I am totally a supporter of business and all the way I always think how to make my country more sharpen in its business side. Suddenly once I have noticed a truly amazing business idea which India is currently following and taking all the advantages from that idea. Most of the time when we talk about India and its business, we normally referred to its lower cost business idea and of course its emerging IT sectors rapid transition. But I will talk about the BOLLYWOOD!!
You will be highly surprised to know that Indian movie industry is one of the world’s largest commercially successful industries. They are earning a million – billion dollars from these movies. Ok, now you may get this point that they are cutting our pocket and making money but definitely we are getting a life time entertainment which is of course worth both of your money and time. You know, Three Idiots gives you that pleasure which money barely can buy. Now time to concentrate what others things or benefits or you can say - other businesses they are doing only taking the name of these movies and its actor or actresses.
No matter what product it is - from a cosmetic product to life insurance, you will see your favorite actor or actress dancing with it and eventually you will feel special when you will get to use that product. Yes, it is a marketing strategy that every country somehow follows. But clearly think about one thing- for cosmetic, Indian creates their market to only those countries which belong to their continent. In one study it was found that Bangladeshi market is the biggest market for cosmetics. After that it goes down to Kenya. But not Uganda or Africa or alike. The reason is, in these countries their movie industry has a successful market so as they have created these ‘other markets’ like for cosmetic. That’s why when Aishwariya Roy Bacchan starts to take a bath with Lux, you can portrait her as a beautiful, ultra sensational actress and jump to Lux to make yourself more like Mrs. Bacchan.
But before that do you ever feel that why you need to be like her? Who is she? You are beautiful even if you bath with Keya Ball Shaban. Now don’t you think it is creating racism in us? Why do you feel that if you are some kind of these actresses you will be a WOW factor girl or man? Don’t you now feel this business is actually creating this complexion line more boldly among us? And the only reason behind is BUSINESS. They are doing a proper business with movies.
European or American or other successful movie industry is taking these advantages too. That’s why when a Barcelona’s little child wants to buy a shoe they go for NIKE. But they are simply doing business with a proper meaning of ‘cut other pocket (only) and make my one heavier’. So now can’t we say India is really a foresighted country in doing business? Because they know we Bangladeshi will always try to make ourselves to be more beautiful or you know a more like Katrina Kaif which is a rare case for Americans or Europeans- who barely wants to be someone else in case of their outlook.
Before ending, I like India- especially when Sachin hits for sixes. It is more of creating our awareness and look forward than making me look able for others. Let’s not give any business that space to create a division among us!
